Mrs. Marlin, 78, of Linden, died Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Desoto in Southaven, Mississippi. A funeral service was held Sunday, March 13, 2016, 1:00 p.m., at McDonald Funeral Home in Lobelville, with Bert Mathis officiating. Burial was at Dr. O.A. Kirk Memorial Cemetery in Linden. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Carmon Bell and Tommye Mahalia Warren. She was a homemaker and a member of Brush Creek Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Robert Marlin, Sr., and a son, Jerry Robert Marlin, Jr. Survivors include two sons, Joel Keith Marlin of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Jeffrey Marlin of Holiday, Florida; a daughter, Deborah Marlin of Southaven; brothers, Joe Bell of Hohenwald and Jimmy Bell of Linden; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren. The family requests memorials be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
