Mrs. Ernest Mosby, 66, of "Hill Top" on W. Main street, died yesterday evening at 6:10 in Colorado Springs, Col., following an illness of five weeks.
Deceased was born in Montgomery, Ala., February 7, 1882, the daughter of the late N. J. Bell and Maria Whitley Bell. She was graduated from the Woman's College of Alabama, and lived in Montomery until her marriage to the late Dr. Ernest Mosby in 1902. Dr. Mosby died Feb. 5 of this year.
Mrs. Mosby then moved to New Hope where she lived until 1904 when she moved to Waynesboro. Before her death she had been a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church here and active in civic affairs.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m. at "Hill Top," the Rev. C. Newman Faulconer, officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Mrs. Mosby is survived by four daughters, Mrs. W. P. Sandridge, Jr., of Winston-Salem; Mrs. Henry L. St. Clair of Charlottesville; Mrs. R. Loring Cover of Harrisonburg; and Mrs. Eugene Vogler of Winston-Salem; and one sister, Mrs. F. W. Thaison of Houston, Tex. Also surviving are eight grandchildren.
Active pallbearers are E. W. Barger, Richard Clemmer, Lewis Barksdale, Walter Hickok, Cullen Chew, and Eugene Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers are John McCray, Pliny Fishburne, W. G. Ellison, sr., Major Edward P. Childs, J. W. Wright, Dr. J. F. Hubbard, Felix Edmunds, Fleming Hurt, Albert Clark, and Charles Robertson.
