Ruth Belew Goins (1931 - 2012)
Ruth Belew Goins, 80, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012, in Fort Worth. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Thursday in Greenwood Memorial Park. Ruth was a member of Faith Community Church.
Ruth met the love of her life, Charles, while at Evarts High School at a baseball game in 1947 and they later married in 1956. Ruth worked at the L&M Cigarette Factory when she married Charles. She raised three wonderful children while her husband served in the U.S. Air Force. In 1981, Ruth headed up PR for a multi-corporation, working alongside Charles and Ron until 1991. Ruth and Charles spent many a day loving and supporting the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ruthie will be greatly missed by all who loved her. A special thanks to Fireside Lodge for making her last years enjoyable and unforgettable. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rondal Goins, in 2008; son, Ralph Goins, in 1977; and her parents.
Survivors: Son, Charles Ronald Goins and wife, B.J.; daughter, Rhonda Burns and husband, Richard; grandchildren, Ryan and Tiffany Burns, Christopher Burns, Audrey Goins and Sabrina Goins; great-grandchildren, Alexis Chappa and Zoe Burns; sisters, Margie Burton and Wanda Miles; brother, Ray Belew; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Karen and Jim Nath, Richard Burton, Rodney and Judi Burton, Ruby and Suzi Lambert, and Clyde and Louise Goins.
