A life-long area resident and a retired operator for the Barbara Quilting Co., she was born April 2, 1896 to Rufus and Bertha Henion Mason in Sparrowbush. She married Harry Belcher, who died Feb. 5, 1966.
Mrs. Belcher was a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses in Sparrowbush.
Surviving are four sons, William of Greenville, Harry of Port Jervis, Robert Lee of Port Jervis and James of Montague, N.J.; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Ruth Sheer of Norwich; a brother, Robert Mason of Port Jervis; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Decker of Port Jervis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Gray Funeral Home, 100 East Main St., Port Jervis with the Rev. Stanley Bilitowch of Jehovah's Witnesses officiating. Burial will be in Rural Valley Cemetery, Cuddebackville.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 Monday and from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 Tuesday and prior to the funeral Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are by the Harold G. Case Funeral Service, 100 East Main St., Port Jervis.
