Bertha Anna Beitzel, 79, Grantsville, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at WMHS Braddock Campus, Cumberland.

Born Aug. 8, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Arminta (Maust) Beitzel. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin and Vernon; one sister, Vernie; one sister-in-law, Mary; and one nephew, Stanley.

She is survived by one brother, Elvin; a sister-in-law, Vera; five nephews; one niece; four great-nephews; five great-nieces; two great-great-nephews; and three great-great-nieces.

Bertha was a member of Cherry Glade Mennonite Church, and throughout her life she was involved in church ministry in the Coal Run and Red Run Mennonite churches. She was employed for many years at Yoder's Locker Plant as a meat cutter/wrapper.

She touched many lives and was especially happy to spend time with children, babysitting or teaching them in Sunday school and Bible school.

A service will be conducted in the Cherry Glade Mennonite Church on Friday, Dec. 7, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Barry Maust, Rev. Paul H. Yoder, and Rev. Merle Durst officiating.

Interment will be in the Old Cherry Glade Cemetery, Accident.
