BELLEVILLE, Ill. - Christi A. Beistline, 56, of Kearney, Neb., died Friday, June 14, 2013, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Kearney with the Rev. Gary Main officiating and Eastern Star services by Tuscan Chapter 36. Burial will be at Kearney Cemetery. O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home in Kearney is in charge of arrangements.

She was born May 21, 1957, in Omaha, Neb., to Donald and Ruth (Campbell) Gosselin.

Survivors include her son, Josh and his wife, Sara Miller Beistline, of Kearney; daughter, Lynn Beistline and Mike McCollough and their daughter, Avery, all of Lincoln; brother, Dennis Gosselin and his wife, Kathryn, of Hickman; sisters, Deb Gasper and her husband, Ron, of Omaha, Cheryl Fryberger and her husband, Jeff, of Rapid City, S.D., Kathy Gale and Butch Young of Plano, Texas, and Laurie Cabot and her husband, Jim, of Las Vegas; and several nieces and nephews.

She grew up in Omaha and graduated from Sterling (Kan.) College with a bachelor of arts degree in ministries. She entered the U.S. Army National Guard on Feb. 22, 1982, and was honorably discharged on Feb. 21, 1988.

She had worked for the past 16 years as the building and grounds maintenance supervisor at First United Methodist Church in Kearney. She was host of the Christmas dinner at the church for several years.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Kearney, Order of Eastern Star Tuscan Chapter 36 and Bethel Guardian for Job's Daughters Bethel 6. She had a huge heart and would help anyone no matter the occasion. She loved to help place flags for Memorial Day and go fishing and camping. She enjoyed music and was thrilled to be a new grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
