Cleo L. Beisser
Cleo L. Beisser, 76, of Philo, Route 1, a retired employee of the Ohio Power Co., and a farmer, died at 6:32 a.m. Thursday in Bethesda Hospital.
He had been taken to the hospital on Tuesday after suffering a fractured hip.
Mr. Beisser had retired from the Ohio Power Co. in 1958.
Born Sept. 12, 1896, in Muskingum County, he was a son of John and Sohia Eppley Beisser, and had spent his lifetime in this area.
Surviving are a son, Ralph H. of Freeland, Pa.; three daughters, Mrs. Victor (Marion) Miller of Westminister, Calif., Mrs. Dwight (Dorothy) Cain of Cambridge, Route 5 and Mrs. Lawrence (Balnche) Drumm of Newark Rout 6; two brothers, Elmer of Philo and Clyde of Duncan Falls; two sisters, Miss Hilda Beisser of 742 Westbourne Avenue and Mrs. Frank (Florence) Swingle of 1125 Richey Road; nine grand children and three great-grandchildren .
His wife, Florence, died in 1972. One daughter, Mrs. Mildred Leyland, preceded him in death in 1971 and a son, Chester, was reported missing in action in the European Theater during World War II.
Two brothers, Walter and Howard, also are deceased.
Friends may call after 7 this evening and 3 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Clyde E. Thompson Funeral Home in Duncan Falls.
