Alma was never married as far as we know. The information below was an article found in the Deseret Newspaper Feb 8 1909: Mrs. Nancy Higgins of Elsinore, came up to arrange for the funeral of her brother, Alma Behunin, whose death was reported. In Saturday's "News." As he was an Indian war veteran, it was decided to have that organization take charge of the funeral. Services were held in Graham & Jones undertaking parlors this afternoon. And the remains were interred in the Provo cemetery and not taken to Elsinore as at first intended. Mr. Behunin was a native of Ohio and became a member of the Church in his youth. He was with the saints in Nauvoo, and worked on the Nauvoo temple. In 1850 he came to Utah. He was actively engaged in the upbuilding of the territory in his youth, and served in the Walker War. He guarded Lee's ferry at the time of the Navajo uprising, and was assistant superintendent of the Manti Indian farm. At the age of 21, he lost an eye through the explosion of an anvil at a Fourth of July celebration.

The sister they talk about is Nancy Meribah Behunin Higgins married to Nelson Higgins.
