Claud R. Beeson, age 85, of Atlanta, Missouri, passed away Wednesday evening, (July 1, 1992) at the Grim Smith Hospital in Kirksville, Missouri.
Born November 23, 1906, in the Barnesville Community, he was the son of Joe M. and Della Mae (Bealmer) Beeson. On October 1, 1987, at Macon, Missouri he married Mabel Davis, who survives.
Also surviving are 2 sons, Billie J. Beeson, of Raytown, Missouri and Kermit Beeson fo Grandview, Missouri, 2 daughters-in-law, 5 step children, 3 grandchildren, Raymond Glen Beeson, Jolene Glassock, and Kenny Beeson; and 3 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Helen Wiggans of Atlanta, Missouri; Deloma Magers, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Mrs Raymond (Mardella) Stull of Atlanta, Missouri; and 2 stepsisters, Betty Baker of Kirksville, Missouri and Lila Wiggans of Atlanta, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother, 2 brothers, Goldman Beeson and Alfred Beeson, and 1 stepbrother, Bob Walters.
Mr. Beeson had spent his entire life in the Barnesville and Atlanta communities. He had resided on his farm west of Atlanta since 1940. He was a member of the Chariton Ridge Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 4, 1992) at the Elliott Funeral Home, Atlanta, Missouri, with the Rev. Bob Welsh, pastor of the Atlanta Baptist Church, officiating. Music was provided by Rev Bob Welsh, vocalist, singing, "In The Garden" and "I Won't Have To Cross Jordan Alone", with Sue Cavender, organist.
Burial was in the Hopewell Cemetery, west of Atlanta, Missouri. Pallbearers were Wayne Beeson, Laverne Stull, Elvin Wiggans, Cleo Wiggans, Donald P. Magers, and Gary R. Magers.
