A native of Adams County, she was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.
Born on July 7, 1885, she was the daughter of John and Jane Barnett-Beery, and was married to Clay Engle, who preceded her in death in 1931.
Survivors include one son, Robert C. Fowler, Fort Wayne; one daughter, Mrs. Homer (Bernice) Phillips, Fort Wayne; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Three sons - Hugh, George and James - and three brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Winteregg-Linn and Haggard Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donald E. Wilks officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery.
