Daughter of John and Margaret (Mason) Foft; married Ezra John Beeghly 22 February 1894 in Kingsley, and was the mother of Eldred, Milford, Beryl, and Dale.

The Kingsley News Times, 4 March 1948, page 1: Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon of last week at the Church of the Brethren for Mrs. Ezra Beeghly of Pierson, who passed away at her home Monday evening of last week at the age of 80 years. She had lived in the Pierson community for the past 56 years. Rev. Vernon Powell and Rev. E.J. Ralston officiated and interment was in the Kingsley Cemetery. Ida Jane Foft, the fifth child of John Foft and Margaret Mason Foft, was born November 26, 1867, near Paw Paw in Lee Co., Illinois. In the fall of 1869 her parents moved to Marshall County, Iowa, near the town of State Center. This was their home until the spring of 1892 when they moved to Woodbury County, settling on a farm west of Pierson. She made her home here for 48 years. At the home place of February 22, 1894, she was united in marriage to Ezra Beeghly. Here they continued to live and raise a family. In March 1941 Mr. and Mrs. Beeghly moved to Pierson to make their home, and she died at her home February 23rd at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 28 days. On the day before her passing they observed their 54th wedding anniversary. She is survived by her husband, Ezra J. Beeghly; four sons, Milford, Eldred and Dale, on farms near Pierson, and Beryl of Franklin Grove, Illinois; eight grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. John Beeghly of Buhl, Idaho; Mrs. Dora Trostic of Inglewood, California; Mrs. Hattie Beeghly, Mrs. W.G. Holt and Miss Orpha Foft, all of Des Moines; one brother, Mason J. Foft of Hartford, South Dakota. One brother and one sister preceded her in death.
