Howard M. Beechler, 92, of Chillicothe, died 12:45 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2008, in Berger Hospital following a brief illness. Howard was born July 1, 1916, in South Salem, Ohio, to the late Albert and Bertha Hester Beechler. On March 9, 1940, he married the former Helen Dennewitz, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Susan Eaglin, of Circleville; grandchildren, Susie (Dan) Tyler, Gretchen (Tim) Pierson, John Kulp, Tony Scher and Robin (Josh) Lee; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Tessa, Ben, Kirby, Mason and Erica; great-great-grandchildren, Tanner and Tyler; a brother, Delbert (Martha) Beechler, of Chillicothe; many nieces and nephews; and his best companion, his dog, Boo. He was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Scher; sisters, Sylvia and Louise; and a brother, Don Beechler.

Howard was a former member of the High Street C.C.C.U. He was a 1946 graduate of Olivet Nazarene Bible College in IL and retired in 1977 from his Upholstery Shop in Columbus, where he had worked for 40 years.

Services were entrusted to Ware Funeral Home of Chillicothe, Ohio.
