Agnes Patrice (Pat) Beecher Feeney, age 87, the daughter of John and Agnes Leonard Beecher, was born March 21, 1925 on her parents farm near Iowa City, Iowa and died of November 24, 2012 in Scottsdale, Arizona after a lengthy illness.

Pat was baptized and confirmed in Nolan Settlement, Iowa. She attended rural school near Elmira, Iowa and graduated from Iowa City High with the Class of 1943. She then attended Marycrest College in Davenport, Iowa, and was a member of the graduating class of 1948 at the University of Iowa. After college she was employed at Younkers in Des Moines.

On April 18, 1949 she was married to James J. Feeney at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Iowa City. She then joined her husband in Oklahoma City where he was beginning his career with General Mills. They moved periodically as Jim's career with General Mills advanced, eventually settling in the Minneapolis area.

Pat was a lifelong hospital volunteer and was very active in the Catholic Church. She was a Girl Scout leader, a member of the Women's Club of Carefree, Arizona and a guild member of Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church in Carefree, Arizona. She was an accomplished seamstress and a gracious hostess.

On April 1, 2008 her husband Jim died. In addition to her husband, Pat was preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Gervase Barron, and brother John Beecher Jr., brothers-in-law Matthew Barron, Thomas Daly, Elmer Edel, and Jack Knapp, and sisters-in-law Mary Daly, Madonna Edel, Sister Helen Marie Feeney and Lois Knapp.

She is survived by 28 grateful and loving nieces and nephews, 75 grand nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Norma Beecher of West Branch, Iowa.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 1 at 11:00 am at the Church of St. Bartholomew 630 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata, MN with visitation one hour prior to Mass at church and on Friday, November 30 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata, MN.

Memorials are preferred to the James and Patrice Feeney Endowment for Alzheimer's Research, Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale, AZ.
