He was born July 30, 1932 in Montebello, CA. He moved to the Seattle "U" District in 1939. Carl graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1950. He then served four years in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service. He spent two years at the U. of W. and worked in the Seattle area as a cook in various restaurants.
Carl retired from the Burlington Northern Railroad after 27 years. He was a member of the Everett Rock and Gem Club and Tualco Grange. His hobbies included Geology, Genealogy, hunting, fishing, and traveling in his motor home looking for rocks.
Carl is survived by his sons, Dan and Marilyn, and Matt and Denise; brother Allan; and grandkids, Zach, Jake, Emily, and Kelsey.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 15th from 2 until 7 pm at Purdy & Kerr Funeral Home, 409 W. Main, Monroe, WA. Graveside Services will be held at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Redmond on Thursday, January 16, 2003 at 1 pm. Casual dress is requested by the family.
