Dewey Beddingfield of the Bellview community died Tuesday morning following an apparent heart attack while walking back to his home from a neighbor's. He was 61 years old. Services were Wednesday afternoon at Higgins Funeral Home, with the Rev. Virgil Harmon officiating. Burial was in the Charity Cemetery in Alabama. A native of Lincoln County he was the son of the late Willie B. and Laura Mae Thornton Beddingfield. He was employed by Amana Refrigeration Inc. for the past three years and a member of the Bellview Church of God. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Edna Finley Beddingfield; a son, Benny Jean Beddingfield; three step-daughters, Mrs. Tommy Graham and Mrs. Ellis Hirlston, both of Fayetteville, Mrs. Gayle Schader of Constantin, N. Y.; a stepson, Ronald J. Steadman of Ardmore; four step-grandchildren.
