Mother of James Earl, Joyce, Joe Michael, and Carolyn Beddingfield. Leona's sibling: Mamie Lou Francis Mitchell (Gammon, Scott, Sanderson), Odis B Mitchell, James "Junior or Junebug" Marion Mitchell Jr., Martha Christine Mitchell (Rose), William Roy Mitchell, Andrew Jackson "Jack" Mitchell, Ruby Mitchell (Hopper), Joe Daniel Mitchell and Jesse Rufus Mitchell.
