Mary Virginia Becknell Carpenter, 85 of Middletown, OH, widow of George Carpenter, Jr passed away on Mon., Nov. 15, 2010 after a short hospice stay. She was born in Winchester, KY on Oct. 26, 1925 to the late Henry and Blanche Young Becknell. She was a homemaker.
She leaves behind, 4 loving daughters, Alice Faye Dickson, Brenda Louise Carpenter, Debbie Lynn Egner, and Rena June Carpenter; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Eula Jean Carpenter.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., Thurs., Nov. 18 at Scobee Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Thursday at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery where her husband and daughter are interred.
