BECKNELL Henry Clay, 84, husband of the late Mary Evelyn Darnell Becknell, died Wed, Sep 18, 2013 at the VA Hospital on Leestown Rd. Born April 8, 1929 in Clark County, KY, he was the son of the late Henry and Blanche Young Becknell. Mr. Becknell was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran, a thirty year postal carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, and a member of Lafayette Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Evelyn Becknell DeRidder, Memphis, TN; a son, Michael Clay Becknell; four siblings, Ray Becknell, Thelma Becknell Sebastian, Calvin "Cowboy" Becknell, and Wayne Becknell; four grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be 4pm Sun at Lafayette Church of the Nazarene, 264 Lafayette Parkway, Lexington, KY 40503 by Pastor Jared Henry and Pastor Jerry Cline. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8pm Sat at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd
