Anderson, Dorothy Fern
Dorothy Fern Anderson, loving wife of Frank W. Anderson for 55 years, passed away on Sept. 18, 2003 after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Frank; her daughter, Linda; and son-in-law, Marc Hildebrant; her grandchildren, Todd, Rachel, Emily, Amanda, and Sarah of Longmont, Colo.; her sister, Doris Gennirch, of Madison, Wis.; and by many relatives of the Beckett, James, and Moon families. She was preceded in death by her son, Lee James Anderson in 1997; her brothers, Bob Beckett, and Kenny Beckett; and her parents. Fern was the daughter of Myrtle (James) and George Beckett, born on July 18, 1929, in Dodgeville, Wis. She resided in Hopewell Junction, NY from 1968 to 1999. Fern discovered her artistic talents later in her life. She taught watercolor and art in New York at the East Fishkill Senior Center for 12 years enriching many. Fern was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a loyal friend. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at the DODGEVILLE UNTIED METHODIST CHURCH, Dodgeville, Wis. Cremation has been held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for the East Fishkill Senior Center may be sent in care of Ahlberg Funeral Chapel, 326 Terry St., Longmont, Colo., 80501.
