Mrs. Emma Beck Witt, age eighty-eighty a resident of Union county most of her life, died today at the home of a daughter, Mrs. George W. Pentecost, 1021 Newman street. She was born at the Beck homeplace near Brownsville May 24. 1850. and had lived In Union county until 1928 when she moved to the daughter's home. She was the widow of W. Clinton Witt, who died in 1931. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at Liberty, with burial there.. The body will be taken there Tuesday. Surviving, besides Mrs. Pentecost, are another daughter, Mrs. Paul Roberts, Cambridge City; a son, Frank C. Witt, Liberty, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
