Elkport Youth Is Drowned In Creek
Elkader -- Milton Beck, 22 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.D. Beck of Elkport, was drowned Friday evening in Cox Creek near Mederville while bathing. His body was recovered within 20 minutes but all efforts to revive him failed.
Beck was considered an expert swimmer, but is said to have entered the water after a hard day's work and shortly after he had eaten a hearty supper. Before he sank from sight he appeared to be dizzy, witnesses to the tragedy said.
