Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at St. John's Catholic Church with the Rev. Victor Feltes officiating. Suzanne Golden along with St. John's Funeral Choir will provide the music for the services.
Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery with grandchildren and nephews serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the Rembs Funeral Home and again on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of the services. There will be a 4 p.m. rosary service by the Parish Council of Catholic Women Society.
Carol was born on Dec. 7, 1923, in Marshfield to John and Thecla (Adler) Wiltgen. She attended St. John's Parochial School and graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1941.
Prior to her marriage, she was employed at the Marshfield Fair Store for 13 years as a cashier, stenographer and bookkeeper.
She was united in marriage to Robert W. Beck on Feb. 19, 1949, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, the first wedding to be held in the new parish church. He died Dec. 7, 1958.
Following his death, she was a homemaker and started employment at the Shopko Catalog Showroom in 1973 in Marshfield. She was later transferred to the Shopko store as a cashier and retired in April 1989.
Carol was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Parish Council of Catholic Women, former Catholic Daughters of America, Court Notre Dame 926, St. John's Funeral Choir and the American Legion Post 54 Auxiliary of Marshfield.
Carol is survived by her children, Steven (Carol) Beck and Kathleen Beck, both of Marshfield; four grandchildren, Michelle (Rob) Rule, Ryan (Michelle) Beck, Matthew (Jennifer) Beck and Nicole (Peter) Baribeau; seven great-grandchildren, Addison and Connor Rule, Chase and Tyler Beck, Dillon, Payton and Afton Baribeau. She is further survived by two sisters, Lorrie Imoehl of Houston, Texas, and Joan Bloodworth of Madison; one brother, Dennis (Judy) Wiltgen of Eau Claire; and a special friend, Ozzie Frankwick.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers-in-law, Jim Imoehl and Jim Bloodworth.
