She was a homemaker. She lived in Aiken from 1952 until 1959 and in Aiken County since 1959.
A native of Richmond, VA, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Mamie Layne. In addition to her husband, she is survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends Saturday evening from 6 - 8 PM at Shellhouse–Rivers Funeral Home, Aiken, SC. The family also received friends on Monday evening from 6 - 8 PM at Nelsen Funeral Home in Richmond, VA. The funeral service was held on Tuesday morning at 11 AM from the graveside in Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, VA.
