Charlotte Beck Hertzler, 92, of Duncannon, passed away at home on Sunday, April 24, 2011.
She was born on March 29, 1919 in Duncannon to the late Edwin and Margaret (Finkenbinder) Beck.
Charlotte was a talented seamstress, having made stuffed animals that have found homes all over the globe. She enjoyed flowers, gardening in her backyard, and her dogs.
She was a member of the former Otterbein Evangelical United Brethren Church in Duncannon.
She was the widow of Aaron R. Hertzler.
Surviving are a daughter Alice L. Gerow with whom she lived, a son Aaron Eugene Hertzler and his wife Linda of Matthews, N.C., three grandchildren, two step grandchildren, six great grandchildren, six step great grandchildren. Charlotte was the last of the six Beck children surviving.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 in the
Ronald C.L. Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with Mr. John Stansfield, her nephew, officiating. Burial will be in Duncannon Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Charlotte's honor may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Harrisburg 7790 Grayson Road Harrisburg, PA 17111.
