B. Marie Beck, 95, of Burrell Township, died Thursday, March 25, 2010, in Kittanning Care Center. Born Sept. 30, 1914, in Oklahoma Borough, she was a daughter of the late Hiriam and Florence (Hild) Hill. A homemaker, she lived in Oklahoma Borough and Burrell Township most of her life. She was a 1933 graduate of Washington Township High School. Mrs. Beck was a member of Cochran's Mills United Methodist Church in Burrell Township; a member of the Eastern Star 125, where she was Past Matron; and had also been a 4-H leader in Armstrong County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, V. Ellsworth Beck, in 2002; and great-grandson, Alex Moore. She is survived by four daughters, Carole Camille (James) Hileman, of Burrell Township, Deanna Marie Schaeffer, of Burrell Township, Janet Lorraine Adair, of Huntersville, N.C., and Karen Faye (Mark) Harpole, of Delta, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Olive K. Kunkle, of Cross, S.C. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday in Cochran's Mills United Methodist Church with Pastor Kevin Rae officiating. (There will be no viewing at the church.) Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Spring Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Cochran's Mills United Methodist Church, 2002 Garretts Run Road, Ford City, PA 16226.
