Evelyn Beck, 91, of Findlay passed away at 9:25 AM on Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Heritage Manor, Findlay. She was born June 4, 1922 in Findlay to the late Orville Ray and Clara (Kistler) Burk. On January 10, 1942, she married Robert Beck and he preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1982. She is survived by one son, Bruce Von Beck and a sister, Betty (Howard) Oberly , both of Findlay. Two children, Larry Joe and Carol Ann also preceded her in death. She was a 1940 graduate of Findlay High School. She performed in various operettas and school plays in her younger years talented in both piano and voice. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church where she taught the three-year old Sunday School class for many years. She had worked as a secretary for both Bope & Bope and Fuller & Morgan Law Firms. She also had worked as a proof-reader at The Republican Courier in the 1980's and for Job 1 USA for the Marathon Oil Company until 2013. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Funeral services will be held at St. Mark's United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2014, with visitation one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Pastor Mark Hollinger will officiate and burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay.
