Mary Jane is survived by her husband, William Baker of Wabash, son, Matthew, daughter-in-law, Nancy, and grandchildren, Andrew, Madeline, and Samuel, all of Valparaiso. Also surviving are sister-in-law, Miriam Bechtol, of West Chazy, New York, four nephews, and three nieces. She was preceded in death by brothers, Bud, John, and Robert Bechtol, and sisters-in-law, Burneda and Betty Bechtol.
Mary Jane loved working outside in her flower gardens, basket making, cooking for friends and family, and being with her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife, a wonderful mother and grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Mary Jane relished the art of homemaking and particularly enjoyed arranging large family gatherings. Her loving spirit will be carried on in the lives of all she touched and our memories will be treasured.
