Anna Hixson Beavert, 86, died Thursday, October 20, 2011. She was a life long resident of Bledsoe County, TN. She was a charter member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church. She had also been a member of Stephen's Chapel Methodist and Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was a retired schoolteacher. She taught over 20 years in Bledsoe and Sequatchie Counties. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Thomas A. Beavert; parents, P.S. and Mamie Anderson Hixson; sister, Louise Hixson; brother, Eugene Hixson; two special brothers-in-law Howard and Frank Beavert. She is survived by daughter, Carol Beavert (Earl) Eames; son, Philip (Alta) Beavert both of Pikeville; two grandsons, Jeremy (Kimberly) Eames and Jason (Lindsay) Eames both of Soddy Daisy; four great-grandchildren, Ella, Erin, Noah and Rileigh Eames; several nieces and one nephew; sister, Carolyn (Walter) Burton; special sister-in-law, Jewell Beavert. Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Virgil Powell and Rev. Bill Cross officiating. Burial will be in the Pope Cemetery
