Geraldine Latitia Bishop Beavers
Age 80, passed away June 17, 2011. 

Geraldine has joined her husband, Joe Beavers, to be with her Lord Jesus Christ. 

Her life here was a shining example of Christian charity. 

She lived a full and independent life and was a source of inspiration for all she touched. 

The various mission trips she participated in during the latter stage of her life affirmed her faith. 

She was born Sept. 30, 1930 in Evergreen, Autauga County, Alabama. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Beavers 1987 and later by her brother, Alonza Walker Beavers. 

She is survived by her children, Melanie Rebecca Baker, Jonathan Fredrick Joseph Beavers, Celeste Beavers Wesley; grandchildren, Lisa Rebecca Martin, Michael Forest Caldwell, Steven Bryan Shguit, Cynthia Diane Jo Wesley, Jon Cody Beavers; great- grandchild, Grace Rebecca Martin; siblings, Elma Bishop Irving, Marguerite Bishop Thompson, Susie Ray Bishop Northington; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Services are 10:00 am Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at First Baptist Church , 323 W. Wheatland Road in Duncanville. 

Visitation is  6-8 pm Monday at the church.  Burial will be at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Alabama. 

In lieu of flowers, her request was to take a person to church and offer a meal afterwards.

Donations may be made to the DAV or the Lottie Moon Christmas offering.
