She was the wife of Richard D. Beasley.
Born June 28, 1954, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of John L. Hobson of Baltimore, and the late Jean E. Black Hobson. She was the stepdaughter of Barbara Hobson of Baltimore.
Surviving besides her husband, father and stepmother are three children, Dorothy M. Haines and husband Philip C. of Falling Waters, Jean Ann Hottinger of Broadway, Va., and Edward L. Drummond Jr. and wife Dawn E. of Falling Waters; two sisters, Judy A. Martin and husband Aubrey of Frederick, and Sue M. McCreery and husband Michael J. of Woodsboro; five grandchildren, twins Cory and Cody Thompson, Shinea Baker, Nicole Hottinger and Kayla Hottinger; a niece, Sarah E. Geisbert; and two nephews, Paul D. Porreca and Billy Prettyman.
Mrs. Beasley will also be remembered by special friends, Barry A. Milam of Gilbert, Ariz., and Shirley H. Norris of Falling Waters.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, and Sunday, Jan. 4, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Funeral services will begin there at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5. The Rev. Jeff Hudson, pastor of Fredericktown Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
