Mr. Sam Beasley Killed.
Mr. Sam Beasley, a brakeman on the Southern road, was killed Sunday morning on the yards of that road, in this city. Mr. Beasley was engaged in switching cars, when it is supposed that in leaning out from the car he was struck by a post and knocked under the wheels, which passed over his head, crushing it. His body was found soon afterwards by an employee of the road and carried to the undertaking rooms or B. H. Morrisette & Son.
Mr. Beasley leaves a wife and infant baby. The funeral was from Fifth-Street Church yesterday evening at 2:30 o'clock. Interment was in Maury Cemetery. The Times, Richmond, Va., Tuesday, November 26, 1901.

Sam Beasley, a brakeman on the southern road, was instantly killed Sunday morning while at work on the yard of the road in Manchester.
No one witnessed the accident, but it is supposed that Beasley was struck by a post at the point where the street from the cars and thrown back under them as he struck the post. The wheels of one car passed over his head, mashing it in a horrible manner. The remains were picked up and carried to the undertaking room of Morrissett & Son, where they were prepared for burial.
The funeral was held yesterday afternoon from the Fifth-Street Methodist church.
Mr. Beasley is survived by a wife and a baby about a month old. He had been married about three years. The Richmond Dispatch, Tuesday, November 26, 1901.
