Graveside services for Ruth Beasley, 85, of Olney, were held Wednesday, Dec. 19, at the True Cemetery with the Rev. Gary Tull, associate pastor of First Baptist Church in Graham, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Beasley was born Feb. 3, 1922, in Orth to the late Tom and Amy (Farmer) Rux. She died Saturday, Dec. 15, in Wichita Falls.
She and R.L. Beasley Jr. were married on Oct. 12, 1974, in Olney.
Mrs. Beasley was a homemaker and a resident of Olney for most of her life.
Mrs. Beasley was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray Routon, on May 15, 2002; and a daughter, DeAlva "Dee" Mitchell on Oct. 19,2007.
Survivors include five sons, David Routon and wife Thelma of Newcastle, Eddie Routon and wife Renaue of Wichita Falls, W.T. Routon of Olney, Rocky Perez and wife Norma of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Kevin Perez of Olney; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two greatgreat- grandchildren.
