Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Armstrong, age 80, of Indianapolis, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Franklin Meadows with her loving family at her side. She was born October 13, 1931 in Indianapolis to Gaylord O. and Teresa (Ostermeier) Beard. Betsy was a graduate of Southport High School with the Class of 1949. She was an Account Clerk for Indiana Bell for 42 years. Betsy loved to drink coffee, was an avid reader, and huge Colts and Pacer fan.

Betsy married William S. Armstrong on July 18, 1950, and he preceded her in death on February 6, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Mitchell) Ankenbauer; grandchildren, Sally (Jacob) Roberson, and Gina (Keith) Holland; great grandson, Elijah Roberson and soon to be great granddaughter, Bridget Holland. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Janet Hartley.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 18, 2012 at 12:00 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
