ROCHESTER — Marjorie S. Beane, 85, passed away peacefully Friday, May 17, 2010, at Frisbie Memorial Memorial Hospital following a period of declining health.
She was born in Malden, MA, on Sept. 27, 1924, the daughter of Harold and Margaret (Vidler) Strand. She graduated from Malden High School and Dental Nursing School.

She fell in love with the scenic seaside community of Rockport, MA, and had the opportunity to make it her home until her move to Rochester to be closer to her family.
She is survived by her son, Bill Young and his wife, Diane, of New Durham; her grandchildren, Heather Brockney of Lake Worth, FL, and Kristen Cadwallader of Rochester; her great-grandchildren, Cole and Bryn Cadwallader and Stone Brockney, and a brother, Harold P. Strand Jr. of Salem, NH.
She was predeceased by her husband, Philip Beane.
