CARL C. BEAN COLCHESTER Carl C. Bean, 65, of Colchester died peacefully at his home Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002. He was born in Colchester on Jan. 20, 1937, the son of the late Clement and Florence (Lavallee) Bean. He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1955. He was married in 1957 to Mary Cross. Carl was employed at Coyne Textile Services in Milton for 42 years as a route salesman. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Carl was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and gardening. He was also a NASCAR crew member for several years. He will be remembered mostly for his love of his family and close friends. Carl is survived by six children, Katherine Bean Oloughlin and her husband, Francis, of Newton, Mass., Carl T. Bean and his companion, Brenda Williams, of Jericho, Michael S. Bean of Essex Junction, Kelly Bean of Williston, Kimberly Bean Kimball and her husband, Bruce, of Essex Junction, and Kara Bean McGrady and her husband, Jeffery, of Williston; nine grandchildren, Kristin Liberty, Krissa Bean, Kelsey and Michael Bean, Danielle Dubois, Melinda Bean, Casey and Bailey Kimball, and Avery McGrady; two sisters, Elizabeth McGreevy of Laconia, N.H., and Sandra Maynard of Milton; two brothers, Larry Bean of Gainesville, Fla., and Randy Bean of Williston; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Nov. 1, at 11 a.m. in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Colchester. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Audubon Society, 255 Sherman Hollow Road, Huntington, Vt. 05462, or the National Wild Turkey Federation, P.O. Box 530, Edgefield, S.C. 29824. Visiting hours will be Thursday, Oct. 31, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main St., Winooski.
