Mason Bean, 73, retired farmer, was buried in the City Cemetery Saturday afternoon following funeral services for him conducted at the Ephesus Church of Christ by M.A. Creel and E.B. Kuykendall.
Mr. Bean died at his home Thursday night after a brief illness.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Alice Bean; two sons, Dexter of Athens and Baxter of Duncan, Arizona; three daughters, Mrs. Leonard Hagood and Mrs. Lillian Brown, both of Athens, and Mrs. L.J. Schrimsher of Decatur; two brothers, Jim Bean of Nashville and Charles Bean, Bell Buckle, Tenn.
