COOKEVILLE Funeral services for Naomi Bean, 98, of Cookeville, will be held at 2 p.m. on Tues.,
Jan. 25, from the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

The family is currently receiving friends at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bean died on Sun., Jan. 23, 2000, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

She was born on Jan. 2, 1902, in Jackson County to the late Riley and Fannie Smith Rector. Mrs. Bean was a homemaker and a member of Dodson Branch Free Will Baptist Church.

Her family includes a daughter and soninlaw,
Oneta and Paul Hembree of Cookeville; two sisters, Zola Hensley of Cookeville, and Emma Mayberry of Jackson County; a stepsister, Noma Dee Holoway of Cookeville; two grandsons, Ronnie Hembree, and Donnie Webb and his wife, Cheryl; and a son-in-law and wife Daina and Mary Webb.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Haskel H. Bean; a daughter, Ivalene Webb; and infant son, Hershel Bean; five sisters, Della Harris, Martha Bartlett, Cordia Mayberry, and Linnie and Mammie Rector; and four brothers, Arless, John, Bill and Arthur Rector.

Bro. Clayton Lee Jr. will officiate at the services.
