Born in Fredericksburg, he was a son of the late Isaac and Sadie Schaeffer Beamesderfer. He was employed by the Carlisle Tire and Rubber Co. In addition to his widow he is survived by two sons, Oscar D. Jr., and John F., and a daughter, Louise A., all at home; a brother, Mark P., Jonestown RD 2; a sister, Shirley, wife of Earl Yordy, Grantville RD 1, and a stepbrother, Richard R.
