Donald E. Beamer
Donald E. Beamer, 64, of 241 Slatersville Road, Biglerville, died Tuesday, May 15, at Beverly Health Care, Gettysburg.
Born June 20, 1936 in Menallen Township, he was a son of the late Wilbert and Mary Kuhn Beamer. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Nellie Irvin Beamer.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served from 1959 to 1962. He had been employed by PPG Industries of Mount Holly Springs for many years prior to retiring. He was a member of Wenksville United Methodist Church and a life member of the South Mountain American Legion Post 674 of Mount Holly Springs, the Upper Adams Fish and Game Association, and the Buchanan Valley Rod and Gun Club.
He is also survived by a daughter, Virginia Staub of Biglerville; three sons, Tim Staub of Gardners, Donald L. Beamer and Eugene "Pumpkin" H. Beamer, both of Biglerville; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Beulah Kime of Gardners and Marvel Drybread of Biglerville; and two brothers, Charles "Stump" Beamer of Aspers and Paul Beamer of Biglerville.
He was predeceased by a son, Emmit W. Beamer; a sister, Grace Black; a half-sister, Tress Rhoads; a brother, Guy Beamer; and a half-brother, William McCauslin.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 18, at Dugan Funeral Home, 111 S. Main St., Bendersville, with the Rev. James R. Speelman officiating. Interment will be in Wenksville Cemetery.
