Daniel H. Beamer, 75, well-known and highly respected resident of Bendendersville, died Thursday morning at 10:25 o'clock, following a paralytic stroke.
Mr. Beamer, the last member of the family of the late Michael and Annie Beamer, was born in Menallen township, with the exception of the latter part when he moved to Bendersville.
The deceased was active in church work a Bendersville and Wenksville, being a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. He served as superintendent of the Wenksville M. E. Sunday school for 25 years, being elected to that position in 1872 He was a trustee for 32 years, a steward for 18 years and a leader of music for 40 years.
He was a life-long Republican, and at various times held minor township offices.
Funeral services Monday morning, meeting at the house at 10 o'clock, with further services from the Bendersville Methodist Episcopal church, the Rev. William Moses, Harrisburg, formerly pastor of the Bendersville M. E. church and pastor there, officiating.
