The son of John Michael Beamer &
One of seven children;
2 sisters & 4 brothers
In 1860, he was a carpenter living in Menallen Township, Adams County, and later worked as a millwright. He stood 5' 10" tall and had brown hair and gray eyes.
A Civil War veteran, he enlisted in Adams County October 16, 1862, as a substitute for Jacob K. Oyler, mustered into federal service at Gettysburg November 7 as a private with Co. I, 165th Pennsylvania Infantry (aka "Drafted Militia"), and honorably 28 Jul 1863.

1885, moved to Waynesboro, Franklin, PA
Sadie died 2 days after he did, and they were buried together in the same ceremony.
