Gladys M. Anderson, 74, of Carlisle, died Thursday, June 12, 2008 in Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She was born Tuesday, November 21, 1933, in Millersburg, and was a daughter of the late Mervin A. Beamer and Louise (Miller) Beamer Coover.
Gladys was a 1952 graduate of the former New Bloomfield High School in Perry County. She was a loving homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family. Gladys enjoyed watching birds and was of protestant faith.
She is survived by one son, Michael E. Anderson of Clearwater, FL, three daughters, Debra M. Anderson, Newville, Lavonne E. Goodyear and her husband Gilbert, Carlisle and Andrea J. Kessler and her husband Geary of Landisburg, two brothers, Glenn Beamer, Fairfield and Karl Beamer of CA, her two sisters, Martha Ludwig of Mechanicsburg and Ruth Frank of Carlisle, her grandchildren, Jennifer and Joshua Goodyear, Derek Kessler, Jeffrey Anderson and James and Jennifer Kessler and several nieces and nephews. Gladys was preceded in death by her former husband, Norman E. Anderson who died in 1996 and one brother, Raymond Beamer.
Memorial services will be held Monday, June 16, 2008 at 2 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev. D. Alan Mathna officiating. Burial will be private. There will be no viewing.
