Euless, Texas - Former Walters, Okla., resident BETTY ANN BEAM, 69, of Euless, Texas, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2007, in Euless.
Graveside service was in Walters Cemetery under direction of Forest Ridge Funeral Home of Hurst, Texas.
Betty Ann was born April 15, 1938, in Walters, to Leroy A. and Vivian Turner Barbe. She started school at Ruth school west of Walters. The family moved to Comanche, Okla., where Betty met and married Donald E. Beam on July 16, 1953. They made their home in Duncan before moving to Euless.
In Texas, she worked for TECCOR for 32 years, retiring as a supervisor. She loved to paint and was a contributor several times to the "Gallery on the Green" in Walters. She was a proud member of South Euless Baptist Church for more than 16 years.
Survivors include her husband, Don Beam of the home; her mother, Vivian Barbe, and a sister, Barbara Burnside of Kemmerer, Wyo.; sons, Rusty Beam, Billy Beam and wife LeeAnn of Azle, Texas, and Bobby Beam and wife Kellie of Justin, Texas; a daughter, Ladonna Ballas and husband Byron of Denton, Texas; brothers, Wayne and Marie of Lawton, Okla., and Clifford Barbe and wife Janice of Geronimo, Okla.; ten grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and many friends and relatives, including Melvin Copeland, Sylvia Edgmon, Dora Milwood and Paule Parbe, all of Walters.
She was preceded in death by her father; Leroy Barbe; and a son, Donald Beam.
