Armstrong Home Closed; Residents Have Moved
[Honeoye Falls Times]

A widely known institution which has provided care and friendly family atmosphere for scores of persons in the past 27 years closed its doors on July 1, when the Armstrong Nursing Home on Locust St. ceased to operate.

The death of its former owner, Mrs. Earl Armstrong, on the 21st of January this year made the move necessary …

The nursing home was opened by Mrs. Armstrong as a maternity center 27 years ago and operated in that capacity for two years before expanding its program to include convalescent care. Later as the demand increased, care of elderly people became a dominant feature and continued until termination of the program.
