Marvin Beam Sr, 81, of OKC, passed away Oct. 14, 2009. He was the ninth child of eleven born to Bernie and Susie Beam on Feb. 16, 1928 in Lindsay, OK. Marvin served his country as an M.P. in the 793rd Battalion at Nuremburg, Germany from 1946-1948. He retired from Western Electric AT&T in 1989. Dad spent his retirement year playing the Pony's. He loved the horse races. He is survived by two sons, Marvin Jr. and wife Regina, and Andy Beam; five grandchildren, Michael, Ryan, Colbi, Tory, Ryan Scott, as well as his good friends Olan and Bob. Viewing will be today from 12 Noon-8PM at the funeral home. Services are 2:00 PM Monday at Vondel Smith South Lakes Chapel. Friends may leave condolences at www.vondelsmithmortuary.com
