Mrs. Christina M. Beals, 51, French Lick, In., died Sunday afternoon at Orange County Hospital where she had been admitted on Friday. She was a former maid at the French Lick-Sheraton before retiring in 1970 due to ill health.
She was the former Christina M. Coryell, born Nov. 10, 1921, in Randolph County, to Oda Vado and Zella Mae (Ross)Coryell.
The Beals family had resided in Orange County for several years. A son Charles Beals, is an Orange County Vietnam fatality. He was killed in action in 1971.
Surviving with the husband are five sons, William of West Baden, In., Clinton Jr. of Fairland, In., Donald, James, and John, all at home; four daughters, Mrs. Helen Lamham of Paoli, and Mrs Ida Golden of Canadian, Tx., Mrs Betty Suits of Indianapolis, In., and Miss Ruth Beals, French Lick, In.
Also suriving are her Mother, Mrs Zella Mae (Ross) Coryell Herron of Paris, Ark., four sisters, Mrs. Jean Wysong of Paris, Ark., Mrs. Mildred Resler of Winchester, In., Mrs. Cecil Estman of Harlinggen, Tx., and Mrs. Kathleen Danford, Indianapolis, In., and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:00 p. m. from Concord Church south of Paoli, Rev. Dow Birkhimer officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body is at Brosmer-Drabling Funeral Home where friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
