Last rites for Mrs. W. G. Baker held Sunday
Last rites for Mrs. Amy Beall Baker were conducted from the Moore Memorial Methodist Church Sunday, March 29 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. J. R. Grisham officiating.
Mrs. Baker died Saturday at the Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital after an illness of several months.
Mrs. Baker was born January 6, 1889 in Durant and she was married to W. G. Baker. She was a member of the Moore Memorial Methodist Church.
Mrs. Baker is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Louise Baker Byrd of Winona; one son, W. G. Baker, Jr., of Crystal Lake, Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Charles J. Moore of Winona and Mrs. J. G. Williams, Macon, Georgia; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Active pallbearers were Jewel Bowen, W. R. Walker, Shed Hunger, Sr., James Arinder, H. B. Sandidge, Willie Lee Stames, D. B. Dotson, Claude Wilston, G. Bryan, James Townsend, Archie Baker, Hamilton Baker, and Wilburn Alford.
Honorary pallbearers were M. C. Billingsley, Emmett Ellis, B. F. Heath, Aubrey Boone, Ed Allen, Sr., Dr. E. W. Holford, Bill Harvey, L. A. Blackston and D. V. Patridge.
Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Winona Funeral Home.
