Walter E. Beall, 85, of the 100 block of D View St., a retired Navy chief warrant officer, died June 21, 1990, in his home.
Mr. Beall, a native of Baltimore, was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War and retired from the Navy in 1955. He had served in the Army Air Corps from 1920 to 1924. He was an F.A.A. certified aircraft pilot and mechanic examiner and was a former employee at Krider-Resiner Aircraft Co. in Hagerstown, Md.
He was a past president of Fleet Reserve Association Branch 60 and a member for more than 51 years; was a past regional president of the National Fleet Reserve Association, Southeast Region; had served on all the national and regional committees of the National Fleet Reserve Association; and was a past president of several branches on the East Coast. He was a member of the OX5 Pioneer Aviation Club, the Sun & Fun Fly-in Club and the Experimental Aviation Association. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3160. He was the widower of Bertha W. Beall and a Catholic.
The graveside service with military honors will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Forest Lawn Cemetery. A Fleet Reserve service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel.
