Donald L. Beal, 47, Battle ~ Creek town electrician, died at' I an Omaha hospital Saturday I evening, December 3, 1983. He J had not been well for some 1
time. 0
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 6, 1983, at 1:30 p.m. at the Battle Creek United Methodist Church. The Rev. Stan LaRue officiated and burial J was at Pleasant View Cemetery, Plainview. Soloist was Loring North and Mrs. Aage Petersen was organist.
Pallbearers were Leland 0 Klein, John Heller, Stanley Kiep{e, John Swartz, Ron Bonta and Mike o. Naprstik. Military rites were by American Legion Post 148 of Plainview.
Mr. Beal was born April 11, 1936, at Battle Creek to Frank and Lillie Beal. He attended school at Royal and was graduated from Brunswick High School in 1954. He served in the U.S. Air Force from Oct. 12, 1954, to Aug. 14, 1958, and was in Greenland part of that time. He was employed by Carhart Lumber Co., Plainview, and later as the city electrician in 1979. He was a member of the American Legion imd Volunteer Firemen at both Plainview and Battle Creek.
He married Betty Logemann Aug. 1, 1957 at Yankton, S.D. She survives as do one son and daught . r-in-law, James and Michelle Beal of Uehling; a daughter and her husband, Todd and Jeri Bessmer of Battle Creek, and another daughter, Nyla at home; three grandsons; his mother, Mrs. Lillie Beal of Plainview; one brother and five sisters, Dwaine Halsey and Mrs. Gary (Patty) Weinrich of Plainview, Mrs. Wayne (LaRene) Ritter of Norfolk, Mrs. Eugene (Berna-dene) ReveJski of Albuquerque, N.M., Mrs. Kenneth (Wilma) Beed of Tilden and Mrs. Kentneth (Jacqueline) Forbes of " Brunswick.
He was preceded in death by his father and one daughter.
