Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday April 5, in Mertzon Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Fox officiating.
Mr. Baze was born June 1, 1934, in Tankersley, Texas, to Allen Charles "Bill" Baze and Ida Mae Wilkerson Baze. He married Addie Sue Ridgway on Nov. 9, 1957, in Aransas Pass. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mertzon. Buck was retired from the engineering department at GTE after 30 years of service. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, compassion for animals and a strong work ethic. Buck was known for his dry wit and sense of humor and will be greatly missed by his many friends and family that loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Baze, of Mertzon; daughter Carla Baze of Kyle, Texas; two sons, Bradley Baze of Rankin and David Baze of Andrews; two grandsons, Tanner Baze of Austin and Juston Baze of San Angelo; and sister Gale Blatz and her husband, Bob, of San Angelo.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to Janet and Mary with Hospice of San Angelo and requests that memorials be made to Hospice of San Angelo, 36 E. Twohig Ave., Ste 1100, San Angelo, TX 76903.
